Orioles Triumph in a 12-Inning Marathon!

Early Innings: A Pitcher's Duel
The game started off as a pitcher's duel with both teams unable to crack the scoreboard in the first inning. Our boy, Gunnar Henderson, managed an infield single, but that was as far as we got. The Nationals couldn't outdo us, though, thanks to some sharp defense that kept them scoreless after one.Middle Innings: Orioles Claw Back
By the 4th inning, the game was tied at 1-1, all thanks to a mesmerizing 416-foot homer to left by Anthony Santander
Nationals Fight Back, but Orioles Keep the Lead!
Fast forward to the 9th, and things were looking good with a 3-1 lead. However, the Nationals weren't going down without a fight. Eddie Rosario hit a critical homer to center, closing the gap. We held our breath as the Nationals managed to tie the game at 3-3 by the end of the 9th.Extra Innings: A Rollercoaster of Emotions!
Entering extra innings, both teams battled hard. In the top of the 11th, Ryan Mountcastle heroically homered to left center, pushing us ahead by two runs!
But our Orioles are built of sterner stuff. In the 12th, Jorge Mateo singled to left, bringing Jordan Westburg home, and then scored himself on a wild pitch, pushing us to a 7-5 lead. Despite a late scare with the Nationals adding another run, Jacob Webb shut them down to seal a 7-6 victory!
Final Thoughts: A Game to Remember
This game was an emotional rollercoaster. Our Orioles showed resilience, battled hard, and most importantly, came out on top. It’s games like this that remind us why we love baseball.
