Tough Loss to the Cubs
It was a hard-fought game, but our Brewers fell to the Cubs 5-3. Let's break down the action and see how it all played out.Early Suspicions, Strong Comeback
The Cubs took an early lead in the 1st inning with a two-run homer by Busch. By the time the Brewers came up to bat, we were already trailing 0-2. In the bottom of the 3rd, we saw hope as Brice Turang and William Contreras both drove in critical runs to tie the game 2-2. Sal Frelick added another run in the bottom of the 4th to even things up again at 3-3.Missed Opportunities and Defensive Woes
Our defense had moments of brilliance, like Hudson striking out three in the 7th. But let's face it, a few crucial errors and missed chances really cost us. In the 7th inning, Andruw Monasterio was picked off and caught stealing home, which was a turning point.Cubs' 8th Inning and Our Unlucky 9th
The Cubs gained the upper hand with a two-run homer from Happ in the top of the 8th, making it 5-3. Despite our efforts in the 9th inning with Jake Bauers walking and Sal Frelick on base, Tyler Black and Brice Turang couldn't capitalize, ending the game with us trailing.Looking Ahead
With fighting spirit shown by players like Christian Yelich and Rhys Hoskins, there's no doubt our Brewers will bounce back. Stay positive, keep supporting our team, and we'll get them next time! Go Brewers!
