Thrilling Game at Citi Field! Mets Edge Rockies 7-6!
Hey Mets fans! What a rollercoaster of a game today at Citi Field! It wasn't easy, but our beloved New York Mets managed to secure a 7-6 victory over the Colorado Rockies. Let's break down this electrifying match inning by inning.Early Setbacks and Comebacks
The game started with the Rockies taking an early 2-0 lead in the top of the 2nd inning, thanks to a homer by Toglia. But our Mets responded magnificently in the bottom of that inning. Mark Vientos launched a massive homer to center (408 feet)

Maintaining Our Lead
In the bottom of the 3rd, Francisco Alvarez doubled, leading to another RBI double by Mark Vientos! Jose Iglesias continued his hot streak with another homer in the 5th inning, and Harrison Bader delivered his second homer of the game (406 feet) in the 4th inning, driving in Jeff McNeil. The Mets extended the lead to 7-2.
Rockies' Late Rally
Just as we thought we had it in the bag, the Rockies started to rally. Rodgers homered in the 7th, cutting the lead to 7-3. In the 8th, Blackmon and Doyle both homered, making it a tense 7-6 game. Our relief pitchers had their work cut out for them.
Nail-Biting Finish
The 9th inning was a nail-biter! Edwin Díaz was called in to close it out. After a walk to Hilliard and Blackmon, it was up to Tovar with runners on. But, Díaz showed his resilience and struck out Tovar to clinch the game!
