Rough Start for the Angels
The Angels got off to a tough start against the Rangers. After Taylor Ward flied out, Zach Neto managed to single to left. Unfortunately, Nolan Schanuel struck out looking and Kevin Pillar grounded out to third, leaving Neto stranded. In the bottom of the inning, the Rangers wasted no time. After Marcus Semien singled, Adolis García sent a homer to right center, driving in three runs. The inning ended with the Rangers up 3-0.
Fighting Back in the Third
The Angels showed some fight in the third inning. Ward walked and was moved to third by another hit from Neto. Schanuel's grounder allowed Ward to score the Angels' only run of the night. Despite this, Pillar popped out to shut down any further rally.Inconsistent Offense
The Angels struggled offensively throughout the game. In the 2nd inning, Jo Adell and Brandon Drury both fell to strikeouts. The 4th and 5th innings also lacked any offensive brilliance, with the team unable to string together any hits.Strong Rangers Pitching
The Angels found it difficult to hit off the Rangers' pitchers. In the 7th, Leclerc walked Adell and Drury singled, but a double play ended the inning. The 9th inning mirrored our earlier struggles as Pillar, Adell, and Drury all struck out swinging to wrap up the game.Final Thoughts
Despite our best efforts, the Angels couldn't get past the Ranger's defense and pitching. Zach Neto had a noteworthy performance with multiple hits, but it wasn't enough. Let's regroup and prepare for the next game - there's always hope!
