Mets Claim Victory Over Dodgers
What an exciting game at Citi Field last night as our New York Mets faced off against the Los Angeles Dodgers and emerged victorious with a 5-2 win!
Dodgers Gain Early Lead
In the top of the 2nd inning, the Dodgers grabbed the lead with an RBI single by Enrique Hernandez and a ground-out that allowed Tommy Edman to score. The Dodgers were up 2-0, but our Mets weren't discouraged.Mets Fight Back
Brett Baty smashed a single to right in the bottom of the 2nd, allowing Jared Young to score and putting us on the scoreboard. Then, in the 4th inning, the Mets rallied with Luis Torrens scoring on Starling Marte's infield single. The highlight was Juan Soto's two-run double to center field, scoring Brett Baty and Francisco Lindor and giving us a 4-2 lead!Closing the Game
The Dodgers tried to retaliate, but Edwin DÃaz came in the 8th inning and shut them down with crucial strikeouts. Brett Baty continued his fantastic performance in the bottom of the 8th, doubling to center and scoring Luis Torrens, making it 5-2. The highlight of the night? Shohei Ohtani himself struck out swinging against our boys!

A Night to Remember
Our pitching staff nailed it, keeping the Dodgers at bay after their initial runs. It was a game filled with strategic plays and emerging heroes, and a thrilling 5-2 victory we can all celebrate! Let's go Mets!
