Tough Loss for the Marlins Against the Angels
Well, Marlins fans, it was a tough night for us as we faced the Angels and unfortunately ended up on the wrong side of a 7-4 scoreline. The game started with both teams coming out strong, but the Angels took control early and we couldn't quite catch up.
Early Struggles
️
In the early innings, the Angels were first to score when Taylor Ward homered to right field in the bottom of the second inning. Despite efforts by our guys like Kyle Stowers and Nick Fortes, who got on base, we couldn't manage to convert those opportunities into runs. By the fourth inning, the Angels had extended their lead to 3-0, bolstered by a sacrifice fly from Ward and a double from Logan O'Hoppe.
Miami Fights Back
Despite being down, our Marlins didn't back down. Eric Wagaman smashed a home run in the seventh inning, giving us our first run of the game. Connor Norby and Stowers kept our hopes alive with a late rally, closing the score gap to 6-4 in the eighth inning, when Wagaman's single brought in two more runs. Our guys showed heart and determination, which is always great to see.

Closing and Looking Forward
Sadly, the Angels' Jorge Soler sealed the game with a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning, extending their lead to 7-4. Despite our strong efforts, including a promising start to the ninth inning where Stowers managed to walk and steal second, the Angels closed the game efficiently, denying us any more runs.
It's always tough to swallow a loss, but we saw some promising moments from our team, and they never gave up. Let's keep our heads up, support the team, and look forward to the next game. Go Marlins!
