A Hard-Fought Battle
Hey Brewers Nation! What a rollercoaster of a game we've just had against the Padres!
Early Lead and Response from Padres
We kicked off the game with an energetic first inning, with Brice Turang doubling to left to set the tone. Christian Yelich then grounded into fielder's choice to score Turang, giving us an early 1-0 lead.
Mid-Game Struggles
The Brewers had difficulty breaking through the Padres' defense in the second and third innings. Despite a promising start with Tyler Black walking and Joey Ortiz getting on base, we couldn't capitalize. The Padres added another solo homer by Fernando Tatis Jr. in the 5th, extending their lead to 5-3.But don't count us out just yet! In the top of the 5th, Christian Yelich and Willy Adames turned up the heat. Yelich singled to center, and then Adames belted a 411-feet homer, pulling us closer at 4-5!


Comeback Attempt
The Brewers found some momentum in the top of the 8th. With Joey Ortiz walking and Blake Perkins drawing a walk right after, Brice Turang came through with an RBI single to make it 5-6. Jake Bauers nearly turned the game around in the 9th by scoring Yelich and tying the game at 6-6 on a wild pitch. The excitement was palpable!
Heartbreaking Finish
Ultimately, it was a solo home run by Jake Cronenworth in the bottom of the 9th that sealed the deal for the Padres, walking off with a 7-6 victory. Despite the loss, the Brewers showed grit and determination throughout, making it a game to remember.Our boys gave it their all, and there's a lot to be proud of. Onwards and upwards! Go Brewers!
