Early Lead Sparks Twins Victory Over Pirates
What a rollercoaster of a game, Twins fans!
Twins Take Early Lead but Pirates Fight Back
The game started off strong for the Twins with Carlos Santana, Trevor Larnach, and Carlos Correa setting the stage for a 3-0 lead in the top of the 1st. Though Santana struck out swinging, Larnach and Correa hit key singles, and with a little help from a fielding error and a wild pitch, the Twins quickly put runs on the board. However, the Pirates weren't going down without a fight. They started clawing back in the 2nd inning, culminating in a 4th inning rally that put them up 4-3, thanks to triples and doubles that sent Twins fans into a slight panic.

Twins' Late Inning Heroics
By the top of the 6th, our boys tied it up 4-4, but it was the top of the 10th inning where the Twins truly shined. In a display of sheer determination and skill, Manuel Margot tripled to center, driving in a run and breaking the tie. Then Willi Castro, Carlos Santana, and again Correa with a single that drove in two more runs, all contributed to a 7-run explosion that left the Pirates scrambling. The bottom of the 10th saw the Pirates trying to mount a comeback, but the lead was too great. Oneil Cruz managed to single to center, bringing in a run, but that’s all the Pirates could muster against Josh Staumont and the Twins’ defense.
Taking It Home
Winning 11-5, this game was a testament to the Twins' resilience and their ability to capitalize on their moments. The energy from our players, especially in that 10th inning, was infectious.
This victory not only adds to our win column but boosts the morale of the team and us fans. We saw what our Twinkies are capable of when their backs are against the wall. Let's take this energy into the next game and keep the winning streak alive! Go Twins!
