Cardinals Triumph Over Mets: 6-1
The St. Louis Cardinals took on the New York Mets today at Busch Stadium and delivered a convincing 6-1 victory!


The Game Begins: An Early Lead
The game started with both teams unable to find a way onto the scoreboard in the first inning. However, things began looking up for the Cardinals in the second inning when Brendan Donovan smashed a triple to center field. José Fermín then brought Donovan home with a single to right, putting us up 1-0.

Turning the Game Around
Things heated up in the 6th inning when Nolan Arenado knocked a clutch double to left field, allowing Victor Scott II and pinch-runner Ryan Yeager to score, extending the lead to 3-0. The real excitement exploded in the 7th inning when Matt Koperniak sent one soaring over the right-center field for a two-run homer!


Fending Off the Mets
Although the Mets finally managed to get on the scoreboard in the 8th inning via an error, Cardinals' defense remained strong. Through great plays by Joshua Baez and Zach Levenson in the outfield, our team ensured no further damage was done. Leonardo Bernal even managed an infield single in our favor, scoring Johnfrank Salazar and closing the game with a sturdy lead.
