A Dominant Start
The Yankees came out swinging right from the top of the 1st inning!

The scoring frenzy didn't end there. Gleyber Torres walked, and Anthony Rizzo hit a sacrifice fly to center, allowing Judge to score. But the best was yet to come—Jose Trevino homered to left, a 409-foot beauty that brought in Verdugo and Torres. Before we knew it, we were up 6-0 by the middle of the 1st inning.

Lockdown Defense and More Runs!
Our pitchers and defense held the Royals scoreless through the first five innings, with key plays and groundouts keeping the Royals at bay. Nick Loftin and Nelson Velázquez both grounded into double plays, and our infield was relentless!
In the top of the 5th inning, Juan Soto walked, and Giancarlo Stanton unleashed a monstrous 449-foot homer to left center, bringing the score to 8-0!

Closing It Strong
Our offense wasn't done! In the top of the 7th, Juan Soto got hit by a pitch, followed by a single from Giancarlo Stanton. With Alex Verdugo grounding into a fielder's choice, Gleyber Torres hit a remarkable 415-foot homer to left, bringing our lead to 11-2!
Despite a brief moment of hope for the Royals as they added three runs in the bottom of the 7th, our bullpen held strong. Tommy Kahnle came in and settled things down before Luke Weaver closed the 8th inning effectively.
Sealing the Deal
The Royals made some noise in the bottom of the 9th with Bobby Witt Jr. reaching base, but Ron Marinaccio and the rest of the bullpen finished the game with finesse. With Salvador Perez striking out looking and Nick Loftin grounding out to catcher, the game was sealed at 11-5 for the Yankees! What a game, Yankees fans! Let's keep this momentum going!
