Tough Loss in Extra Innings 😞

What a nail-biter in San Francisco tonight as our Oakland Athletics went head-to-head with the Giants. Unfortunately, the Giants managed to slip by us with a tight 1-0 win in ten innings. Our pitching held strong, but it was that one run-driven walk by Wilmer Flores in the bottom of the tenth that sealed the deal. It certainly wasn’t the outcome we hoped for, but there’s plenty to build on as we head into our next matchup.

Defensive Battle All Night âš¾

From the onset, it was clear this game was going to be a defensive showdown. Our guys kept the Giants scoreless through nine innings, thanks to some great work from our pitching staff and defense. Lawrence Butler gave a glimpse of his potential with a beautiful double in the fourth, and Luis Urías added a spectacular stolen base that got us on the edge of our seats. Unfortunately, both defenses were relentless, leaving runners stranded and chances uncapitalized.

Closing In Extra Time 🕕

Heading into the 10th inning, the excitement was through the roof. Max Schuemann, pinch running for Luis Urías, looked ready to make a move. Yet, the baseball gods had other plans. JJ Bleday and Nick Kurtz did their best to push through, but the Giants' pitchers held steady. The bottom tenth saw the game slip away on a bases-loaded walk. Tough loss, but the spirit of our A's was undeniable. On to the next one! 💪💚✋
