Rockies Start Strong
The game started off with a bang for our Colorado Rockies when Ezequiel Tovar hit a magnificent home run to the left, sailing the ball 418 feet out of the park in the bottom of the 1st inning!
Increasing the Lead
Our boys held strong on defense in the early innings, with Jordan Beck doubling to right field in the bottom of the 3rd, followed by a single from Tovar to bring Beck home. It was a brilliant strategic play that widened the gap to 2-0 for the Rockies. It was thrilling to see our team keep the lead through the fourth inning, even though the Phillies tried to make a comeback.Momentum Shift
While we continued to fight, the game took a tough turn for us starting from the 5th inning, where the Phillies began eroding our lead. Despite Brenton Doyle's ground-rule double bringing Michael Toglia home for a 3-1 lead in the 6th, the Phillies line-up activated beast mode later on. The top of the 8th inning became especially rocky with Alec Bohm and Trea Turner both delivering powerful hits to drastically turn the tide against us. The remainder of the game saw the Phillies capitalizing on every opportunity, scoring additional runs and solidifying their lead. Final Push
Even though our Rockies hustled through to the last inning, the Phillies ultimately emerged victorious with a final score of 9-3. It was tough seeing the leads slip from our hands, but we’ll continue to stand by our team
