Victorious Start: Astros Pull Ahead Early
What a game, Astros fans!
Our Houston Astros emerged victorious against the Seattle Mariners with a narrow victory of 2-1. The action kicked off in the very first inning, and it was full of exciting plays. After Jeremy Peña struck out looking, Isaac Paredes got on base with a single, setting the stage for some early fireworks. It was Jose Altuve who showcased his agility, forcing an error that allowed him to score. 
️ Adding to the Mariners' woes, Christian Walker advanced on a throwing error, scoring a second run! Thanks to some mistakes by the Mariners, by the end of the first inning, we were up 2-0. A great dose of fortune combined with skill! 
Solid Defense Holds the Line
The Mariners did manage to pull back one run in the second inning, thanks to a triple from Randy Arozarena, which allowed Mitch Garver to bring him home. But our defense remained disciplined and strong from that point on. The third through the sixth innings were relatively quiet, with our pitching staff ensuring nothing else made it past them. Framber Valdez pitched a solid start, and Sousa followed with a seamless transition in relief. Dive after dive, our infield kept the Mariners' hitters at bay.
A Clean Finish: Stellar Relief Pitching Shuts It Down
The final innings were clutch, putting us on the edge of our seats. When Josh Hader took over in the ninth inning, he proved why he's one of the best in the business. He allowed just a single to Donovan Solano and then effectively struck out the rest of the batters. No runs on his watch! His precise pitching secured a sweet, sweet victory for the Astros, much to the delight of the hometown fans. This 2-1 win is a testament to our skill, resilience, and ability to capitalize on the Mariners' mistakes. We can sleep easy tonight, Houston!
