What a Comeback! Padres Top Nationals in 10-Inning Thriller!
Hey Padres fans!
Early Dominance
The Padres kicked things off strong in the bottom of the 2nd inning. After Jake Cronenworth singled, Donovan Solano followed up with another single, putting runners on the corners. Ha-Seong Kim's bunt single brought Cronenworth home for the first run. Then, Kyle Higashioka doubled to drive in both Solano and Kim, giving us a promising 3-0 lead.
Nationals Fight Back
The Nationals didn’t back down. By the 7th inning, they had evened the score at 3-3 thanks to key hits from their lineup. Their rally continued in the top of the 10th inning. Keibert Ruiz doubled home Jesse Winker, and Nick Senzel homered to give the Nationals a daunting 6-3 lead.
Padres' Heroic Rally
And then, the magic happened!
Tyler Wade came in to pinch hit and sacrificed both runners into scoring position. With two outs, David Peralta hit for Bryce Johnson but fouled out. Deciding to walk Luis Arraez intentionally, the Nationals loaded the bases, bringing Jurickson Profar to the plate. Profar delivered an epic ground-rule double that sent both Merrill and Kim home, sealing the 7-6 victory!

This game exemplified the resilience and determination of our Padres. Huge shoutouts to Kyle Higashioka, Donovan Solano, and Jurickson Profar for their clutch performances. This win keeps our spirits high and shows that this team can overcome any challenge.Let’s keep this momentum going, Padres!
