Tough Loss Despite a Strong Effort
Hey Angels fans, it was a tough night as we fell 3-1 to the Braves
Early Struggles at the Plate
The first inning didn't go our way, with Taylor Ward, Zach Neto, and Nolan Schanuel all striking out. Meanwhile, the Braves managed to get an early run on the board. Despite Michael Harris II and Austin Riley reaching base, we did manage to turn a double play to limit the damage. Still, an RBI single from Matt Olson put them up 1-0.Braves Extend Their Lead
The Braves added another run in the fourth inning with a solo homer from Ramon Laureano
Our Lone Run
The fifth inning gave us a glimmer of hope! Brandon Drury started things off with a single, and after Matt Thaiss walked, the bases were loaded with Jo Adell also reaching base. Mickey Moniak got hit by a pitch to bring in our only run of the game. Unfortunately, Michael Stefanic and Ward couldn’t bring any more runners home.Shutdown Innings
From the fifth inning onward, Braves’ pitching shut us down completely. Lee, Jiménez, and Iglesias combined to prevent any further scoring. Our guys gave it their all, but strikeouts from Ward, Neto, and Pillar in the later innings sealed our fate.Bright Spots
Kudos to Brandon Drury, Matt Thaiss, and Jo Adell for getting on base when it counted. Also, Moniak coming through with that RBI was a nice moment in an otherwise tough offensive night.Looking Ahead
It’s a long season, Angels fans! We’ll get them next time. Let’s keep the faith and support our boys as they bounce back from this one. Onward and upward!
Next game, let’s bring that energy and cheer them on to a victory!
