A Slow Start

Well, fellow Red Sox fans, the game against the Orioles today started quietly for both teams. Despite some initial struggles at the plate, notably Jarren Duran, Rafael Devers, and Trevor Story striking out, we kept our spirits up and knew our Sox would come through eventually! Kudos to Abraham Toro, who did a solid job on the mound early on, keeping the Orioles in check.

A Turn of the Tide in the 6th Inning

By the time we reached the 6th inning, it seemed like our bats finally woke up! 😅 Carlos Narváez and Nick Sogard helped spark what would become a massive inning for the Sox, setting the table for the rest of the lineup. Ceddanne Rafaela and Jarren Duran piled on with key hits, and then Rafael Devers absolutely crushed a three-run homer to right center! 🚀 What a moment! The offense exploded for 5 runs in the 6th, flipping the game in our favor.

An Onslaught of Offense

As if the 6th inning wasn’t enough, the Red Sox unloaded a barrage in the 8th inning, scoring a stunning 13 runs! This truly felt like a dream, with Rafael Devers launching his second homer of the night and Rob Refsnyder adding to the fireworks with a 3-run homer of his own. Every batter contributed – singles, doubles, homers – you name it! By the end of the inning, the Orioles must have been dizzy from watching our players circle the bases. This was an inning that we'll be talking about for a long time! 🌟

Sealing the Victory

Wrapping up the game, Abraham Toro came back in to pitch the 9th and although the Orioles picked up a couple of runs, they never came close to our incredible lead. The final score was 19-5, a loud statement of triumph at Fenway! Seeing our Sox come together like this, especially with such thrilling performances from Devers, Refsnyder, and Narváez, reminds us why we absolutely love this team! Can’t wait to see what’s next for the Red Sox. Go Sox! 🍀
