A Roller-Coaster Game in Colorado
Hey Brewers fans!
Early Setbacks
The Rockies took an early lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning with a two-run homer by Brenton Doyle. The top of our lineup couldn't answer back. By the end of the 3rd inning, they were up 3-0 after Charlie Blackmon homered to center.Clawing Back
In the top of the 4th inning, our bats woke up. William Contreras, Christian Yelich, and Willy Adames loaded the bases. Jackson Chourio and Blake Perkins brought them home, tying the game at 3-3.Contreras hit a solo homer in the 5th, giving us a 4-3 lead. But the Rockies quickly responded, and by the end of the 5th, they were back on top 5-4.
Late-Inning Drama
In the 8th inning, Yelich tripled and Adames drove him in. Sal Frelick and Garrett Mitchell added key hits to take a 7-6 lead. However, Doyle struck again in the bottom of the inning, hitting his second homer to tie it at 7-7.Extra Innings Heartbreak
We had our chances in the top of the 10th. Adames fouled out, and after Frelick walked and stole second, Rhys Hoskins grounded into a fielder's choice that saw Yelich thrown out at home. Jake Bauers, running for Hoskins, and Mitchell left runners stranded as the inning concluded. In the bottom of the 10th, a few errors and intentional walks loaded the bases. Alas, a single by Jake Cave brought the winning run home for the Rockies.

Final Thoughts
What a tough loss. There were some promising moments, but we just couldn't close it out. Shoutout to William Contreras and Christian Yelich for stepping up when we needed them. We'll get 'em next time!
