Nationals Dominate Early With Power-Hitting

Sustaining the Momentum
Not only did our boys carry their early momentum through the innings, but Keibert Ruiz and Josh Bell contributed to the scoreline as well, and James Wood added to the tally late game after reaching base in multiple innings. Call had a rough patch getting doubled, but he managed a key double himself in the 6th. It was those alterations in our batting order that kept us in control for the lengthy bout!
Strong Finish Leads to Sweet Victory
Despite the Orioles attempting a mid-game comeback with solo home runs by Cedric Mullins, Gunnar Henderson, and Jackson Holliday, our bullpen stepped up and applied the brakes when it mattered. Josh Bell extended our lead late in the eighth with his massive homer, and young prospect James Wood took advantage of an error in the ninth to add another run, sealing our victory 10-4. Our pitching squad handled the pressure well in the end, making sure the home team stayed on the short end in front of their fans!
